ABOUT 40-DAY

BIBLE CHALLENGE

The 40-Day Bible Challenge is a Lenten Church-wide Study for the Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church

in New Hope, PA.

Many people choose to give something up for Lent. Often, this is something that the person would have a hard time living without. Some people choose to give up a type of food like chocolate, or an activity like checking Facebook, or the very brave attempt to give up coffee.

What if this Lenten season you gave up some of your time each day to the reading of God's Word? This program is designed to help you do just that! We will be reading through the entire New Testament during the 40 Days of Lent which begins Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18 and ends Saturday, April 4. The Sundays during Lent are a Sabbath. and so, there are no readings on Sundays.

Each day we will read 5-7 chapters of the New Testaments, which is about 20-30 minutes for reading each day. This might sound like a big task to undertake, but if you put in the time, it can be transformative.

This Blog is designed to give you the tools you need for your journey as well as a way to stay connected with those who are taking on the 40-Day Bible Challenge with you.

We pray that this experience brings you closer to Christ and offers you encouragement and hope.
